Children’s Registered Manager

About the role
We are recruiting a Children’s Registered Manager to lead a specialist residential care service in Newmarket. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for service delivery, safeguarding, compliance, team management, and operational standards within a structured residential setting.
This opportunity would suit an experienced residential care leader looking to take ownership of an established service and contribute to its ongoing development.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day running of the home and maintain safe, effective service delivery
- Hold responsibility for safeguarding, regulatory compliance, and inspection readiness
- Manage, support, and develop the staff team to ensure consistent standards of practice
- Work closely with internal teams and external professionals to support well-planned care delivery
- Drive continuous improvement across quality, performance, and operational stability
Requirements
- Previous leadership or management experience within children’s residential care
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and quality standards
- Experience working within a residential care setting with varied support needs
- Ability to lead teams, manage performance, and maintain clear operational standards
- Confidence working with families, local authorities, and multi-agency professionals
- Relevant qualification for residential childcare leadership, or progress towards this, where applicable
