About the role

We are recruiting a Children’s Registered Manager to lead a specialist residential care service in Newmarket. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for service delivery, safeguarding, compliance, team management, and operational standards within a structured residential setting.


This opportunity would suit an experienced residential care leader looking to take ownership of an established service and contribute to its ongoing development.


Key responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day running of the home and maintain safe, effective service delivery
  • Hold responsibility for safeguarding, regulatory compliance, and inspection readiness
  • Manage, support, and develop the staff team to ensure consistent standards of practice
  • Work closely with internal teams and external professionals to support well-planned care delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement across quality, performance, and operational stability


Requirements

  • Previous leadership or management experience within children’s residential care
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and quality standards
  • Experience working within a residential care setting with varied support needs
  • Ability to lead teams, manage performance, and maintain clear operational standards
  • Confidence working with families, local authorities, and multi-agency professionals
  • Relevant qualification for residential childcare leadership, or progress towards this, where applicable
