We are supporting a wealth management business with the hire of a Corporate Actions SME.
This is a hands-on technical role, acting as the escalation point for complex, high-risk and non-standard corporate action events. You will support the Corporate Events team with event interpretation, processing, quality control, training and process improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the SME for complex corporate actions, including tenders, mergers, schemes, restructures, demergers and re-domiciliations
- Interpret issuer documentation, offer terms and circulars
- Assess client eligibility, restrictions, deadlines, settlement and entitlement treatment
- Process high-risk events, elections, nominee instructions and custodian submissions
- Mentor and upskill operational staff through coaching and technical guidance
- Identify and escalate operational, regulatory and conduct risks
- Support procedure updates, training materials and process improvements
What we are looking for
- Strong corporate actions experience, ideally within wealth management, private banking or custody
- Hands-on experience with complex, voluntary and high-risk events
- Ability to interpret issuer documentation and apply it operationally
- Good understanding of custodian and market-level processing
- Avaloq experience would be highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail, judgement and communication skills
- Confident supporting teams and explaining complex events clearly
