Associate Director Human Resources – Northern Europe & UK | UK Based
JOB SCOPE
Lead the Human Resources function across Northern Europe and the UK, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategic direction and industry requirements. Oversee key HR functions including talent management, talent acquisition, change management, compensation and benefits, learning and development, employee engagement, HR operations, and organizational development. Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, driving HR initiatives that support business growth and foster a high-performance, engaged workforce across the region.
Regional Coverage: United Kingdom, Finland, France
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a human resource advisor to the EMEA HR Director
- Develop and implement the regional HR strategy aligned with Group objectives and HR guidelines
- Lead the implementation of HR policies and governance frameworks across the region
- Develop HR performance reports and dashboards to measure effectiveness and impact
- Establish and manage HR budgets in alignment with business objectives
- Identify, assess, and mitigate HR-related risks in collaboration with stakeholders
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:
- Lead workforce planning across the region and ensure alignment with business needs
- Oversee recruitment activities to ensure timely and effective hiring
- Promote internal mobility and career development initiatives
- Build relationships with external partners (agencies, institutions, etc.)
- Ensure effective onboarding and induction processes
Talent Management:
- Lead talent management processes including identification, development, and retention of key talent
- Oversee succession planning and career development frameworks
- Ensure effective implementation of performance management systems
Learning & Development:
- Drive the implementation of L&D frameworks and training programs
- Oversee training plans, budgets, and execution aligned with business needs
Change Management & HR Communications:
- Lead organizational change initiatives across the region
- Manage employee engagement surveys and action plans
- Ensure effective HR communication across all levels of the organization
- Handle employee relations matters, feedback, and complaints
Compensation & Benefits:
- Support the design and implementation of compensation and benefits strategies
- Oversee salary benchmarking and annual review processes in collaboration with Group functions
Organizational Development:
- Lead organizational design initiatives including structure, roles, and governance frameworks
- Oversee job analysis and job description standardization across the region
Employee Services & HR Operations:
- Ensure efficient management of HR operations including employee data, leave, and separation processes
- Optimize HRIS usage to enhance efficiency and employee experience
- Monitor HR performance metrics and workforce analytics
People Management:
- Provide leadership, direction, and development support to the HR team
- Identify capability gaps and ensure appropriate training and development
- Support succession planning and talent pipeline development
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) is a plus
- Minimum 10 years of experience in HR leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Proven experience in strategic HR planning and implementation
- Strong experience in talent acquisition, talent management, and employee engagement
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive organizational change
- Proficiency in HR systems and tools
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
