Learning and Development Assistant – 12 Month FTC
London – Hybrid Working (2 days in the office, 3 days from home)
We are looking for a bright, proactive and highly organised Learning and Development Assistant to join a busy and collaborative L&D team within a leading international law firm.
This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate-calibre candidate with previous Learning & Development or events coordination experience within a professional services environment. The successful candidate will support a high-profile global change programme, working closely with the Global Head of L&D and Programme Manager on a wide range of learning initiatives, workshops and events.
The role would suit someone with excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the confidence to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Initiative & Programme Support
- Coordinate working group meetings, including scheduling, note taking and distributing action points
- Support the Global Head of L&D and Programme Manager with project tracking and administrative support
- Assist with monitoring progress across multiple workstreams within the programme
Event & Workshop Coordination
- Draft and send invitations and joining instructions
- Track responses, attendance and participant information
- Coordinate travel, accommodation and dietary requirements
- Source venues and organise event logistics
- Liaise with programme designers, local office teams, HR and L&D contacts globally
- Organise dinners, reservations and pre-orders for attendees
- Attend events and workshops to provide on-site administrative support
- Coordinate post-event follow-up sessions and communications
Workshop Administration
- Coordinate workshop scheduling with internal teams and external consultants
- Set up Zoom meetings and manage virtual workshop administration
- Distribute pre-work and programme materials
- Support workshops by managing breakout rooms, polls and chat functions
- Send feedback forms and collate participant feedback
Invoice & Budget Tracking
- Process and track invoices and approvals
- Maintain accurate cost tracking spreadsheets
- Liaise with finance teams regarding invoice processing
Skills & Experience
- Degree level qualification
- Previous experience within a Learning & Development Assistant role
- Experience organising onsite and offsite events within a professional services environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- High attention to detail with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proactive, adaptable and able to work independently as well as within a team
- Enthusiastic and flexible approach

- Standard hours: 9:30am – 5:30pm
- Flexibility required depending on business needs
- Hybrid working – minimum 2 days per week in the office
- 12 week probation period
