Job Description

We're looking for a Traffic Management Operative to join our team based in Brixworth. This is an excellent opportunity to join our highways maintenance team, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety of work sites across the region.

Location: Brixworth – site based 5 days per weekHours: Permanent Fulltime 40 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to usSalary: £31,000 - £35,000 per year + excellent benefits

What will you be responsible for?


As a Traffic Management Operative, you'll be working alongside dedicated maintenance gangs, you'll provide essential traffic management support for carriageway, footway, and drainage projects. This hands-on role offers the chance to develop your skills whilst contributing to the improvement of local road networks.


Your day to day will include:



Reviewing and implementing traffic management arrangements for minor works


Supporting maintenance activities including hand sweeping, cleaning, and litter picking


Loading, unloading, and handling materials and equipment safely


Working collaboratively with your team to deliver high-quality maintenance projects

This Traffic Management Operative role would suit someone who:



Brings hands-on experience from highway maintenance or a similar field


Has completed relevant SHE matrix training for the role
