The Team
Alvarez & Marsal’s Transaction Advisory team is a leading practice among private‑equity and corporate advisors, with over 1,000 professionals in more than 40 offices worldwide.
How you will contribute
- Lead the day‑to‑day on FS buy‑side and sell‑side transactions by managing a team, preparing analyses, drafting reports and sharing findings with our clients
- Work closely with Managing Directors to articulate deal issues
- Collaborate with industry experts across other workstreams
- Develop a rapport with clients and prepare client‑specific analyses enabling evaluation of potential transactions in the context of a client’s investment strategy
- Gain industry exposure working with large‑cap and mid‑cap private equity houses, corporate clients and financial institutions
- Collaborate as part of the EMEA FS team working across Europe
- Expand the commercial aspects of your financial analysis skills and gain insight on key drivers and valuation considerations that drive a transaction
- Help develop junior colleagues through formal and informal training and mentorship programmes
Qualifications
- Detail‑oriented lead, working primarily on financial services or other regulated businesses
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- ‘Can‑do’ attitude to get the job done
- Qualified accountant and/or exceptional academic record
- Proven senior‑level experience in Transaction Advisory / Financial Due Diligence, with experience across the FS sector
- Training at a Big 4 firm or an established Transaction Advisory practice
- Fluent written and spoken English
