Quality Process Engineer | West Midlands | £35,000-£45,000 + Benefits • Full‑time, 40 hours per week • Start time from 6:00am (flexible, with flexibility expected in return) • Unpaid 30‑minute break daily • 25 days holiday + bank holidays

What You’ll Do

  • Reporting to the Quality Manager, take ownership of day‑to‑day quality performance and improvement activity across the business.
  • Analyse quality data, identify trends and report performance to drive proactive improvement.
  • Lead root cause investigations using tools such as 5 Why’s and 8D, tracking corrective actions through to closure.
  • Implement and maintain effective process controls to reduce scrap, rework and customer returns.
  • Manage internal and external non‑conformances, including rejects, concessions and customer complaints.
  • Support audits, documentation, SOPs and quality alerts to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Embed a "quality‑first" culture, supporting teams at all levels to take ownership of quality and process discipline.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experienced Quality Engineer or Quality Process Engineer from a manufacturing environment, ideally with exposure to iron foundry or high‑integrity casting processes
  • Strong working knowledge of quality management systems and data‑driven improvement
  • Experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action activities
  • Confidence engaging with production, engineering and leadership teams to influence change
  • A practical, detail‑focused approach with strong communication skills
  • Awareness of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949, Lean or structured problem‑solving methodologies is advantageous
  • Formal qualifications are beneficial but not essential if you can demonstrate the right practical experience and mindset
