Description

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to lead the evolution and expansion of JustMe, Cifas’ flagship proactive identity fraud prevention app. JustMe empowers consumers to take control of their identities, helping to stop fraud at source and strengthening the collective response to identity crime across the UK. This role will play a key part in driving adoption, integration and innovation, ensuring JustMe continues to develop as a trusted, industry‑leading solution for identity protection. Working closely with Cifas members, the member experience team and technology partners, the Product Owner will translate organisational strategy into a clear and deliverable product roadmap. By identifying new opportunities, responding to emerging fraud patterns and delivering data‑driven solutions, the role will support increased adoption and trust among consumers and financial services providers. This is a pivotal opportunity for someone motivated by purpose, with experience of B2B SaaS and data services, who thrives on collaboration within a not‑for‑profit, industry‑led environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advocating for JustMe as the proactive solution to identity fraud, driving industry adoption and positioning it as the standard for consumer protection.
  • Defining and owning the JustMe product strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with Cifas’ mission to eradicate identity fraud.
  • Overseeing the product lifecycle, acting as Product Owner for Agile sprints, and ensuring robust, real‑time, and user‑centric features.
  • Developing and leading go‑to‑market strategies in partnership with marketing and communications, focusing on early adopter engagement and industry‑wide integration.
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders—including financial service providers, technology teams, and consumer advocacy groups—to drive integration and adoption.
  • Collecting, prioritising, and maintaining visibility of product and market requirements, ensuring JustMe remains at the forefront of fraud prevention innovation.
  • Being the recognised expert on JustMe, the identity fraud landscape, and the competitive environment. Promoting the product internally and externally through training, webinars, and creative channels.
  • Monitoring, reporting, and improving product performance and satisfaction, leveraging feedback from users, members, and partners.
  • Leading market and competitor research to ensure JustMe’s continued relevance and effectiveness.
  • Representing the voice of the customer, ensuring JustMe delivers peace of mind, trust, and real‑world impact.
  • Upholding Cifas’ values, policies, and procedures, including data protection, equality, and diversity.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

To be successful in this role, it is essential for you to have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in product ownership/business development
  • Expertise as a recognised fraud professional in the industry.
  • Established contacts and relationships across the industry which will enable a push forward of the integration of JustMe into the Cifas membership
  • Knowledge of digital identity markets, data services, and the challenges facing consumers and financial service providers, financial crime and fraud prevention.
  • Proven ability to manage a large stakeholder network comprised of diverse roles and personal interests.
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility, trust and influence at all levels.
  • Evidenced experience in managing data centric services.

It would also be desirable for you to have:

  • Experience of managing multiple projects at once, project management experience and the ability to drive innovation through data analysis.
  • Expertise of working at the strategic level (e.g. generating innovative ideas and new use cases for growth) and at the tactical level (e.g. product readiness and sales enablement).
  • Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to articulate your thoughts with stakeholders and colleagues.
