Newly Qualified Learning Disability Nurse (NQN)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Newly Qualified Learning Disability Nurses to join Eastway, our Adult Learning Disability Assessment and Treatment Unit, on the Countess of Chester Health Park in Chester. We have one 12‑month fixed‑term post available, with preceptorship support, clinical supervision, and annual appraisal.
We are a well‑established and friendly team who support patients with a learning disability within a comprehensive Multi‑Disciplinary Team including Psychology, Psychiatry, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, nurses, and support workers.
Applicants should possess excellent interpersonal, communication and literacy skills and the ability to work with a range of professionals, agencies and carers within a busy inpatient unit working shifts across a 24/7 basis including weekends and bank holidays.
The post requires enthusiasm and commitment to working with adults with learning disabilities within a person‑centred approach.
All new starters will commence on one fixed start date each month, in line with our Prepare to Care induction programme. P2C offers up to 3 weeks training to support you to meet the induction / initial training requirements of the role.
