Fire & Security Installation & Service engineer in YO1, York, City of York

To install, alter, maintain and repair fire and security systems to a high compliant standard and to specification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct installations of fire and security systems to the required British Standard, on time and on budget.
• Conduct small works alterations to the required British Standard, on time and on budget.
• Conduct routine maintenance of fire & security systems to the level required by British Standards.
• Conduct corrective repairs to the required British Standard, on time and on budget.
• Help to manage and exceed client expectations.
• Provide accurate, regular reports to your manager on the progress of the work.
• Manage other contractors and junior colleagues on site where appropriate.
• Be responsible for the Health & Safety of yourself and others.
• Provide the correct completed certification accurately and on time where appropriate.
• Participate in the on-call rota for out of hours emergencies.
• Reduce repeated callouts, meeting a first-time fix rate of 90%.
• Be aware of and comply with the British Standards for servicing of systems.
• Ensure van stock level is adequate for our customer base and their requirements.
• Use PDA as expected and in real time.
