The Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will balance your time between testing and the workshop floor:
- MOT Inspections: Conducting Class 4 (and Class 7 if qualified) inspections to DVSA standards.
- Diagnostic & Repairs: Using your technical knowledge to identify faults and complete mechanical repairs.
- Servicing: Carrying out routine maintenance and multi-point inspections.
- Customer Safety: Ensuring every vehicle that leaves the bay meets strict safety criteria.
- Workflow: Working closely with the Service Manager to ensure a smooth and efficient workshop flow.
What We Are Looking For
- Certification: A valid and current DVSA MOT Testing License is essential.
- Experience: Proven workshop experience as a Technician/Mechanic.
- Skills: Strong mechanical ability and a methodical approach to inspections.
- License: A full UK Driving Licence is required.
- Attitude: A reliable, safety-conscious professional who takes pride in their work.
