Location: West Yorkshire (commutable from Leeds, Harrogate, Wetherby, York, Selby, Tadcaster, Otley, Garforth, Castleford and Knottingley)

Remuneration: £65,000 (includes uplift for working on an on‑call rota) + 25 days holiday + training + access to company vehicle for site work

We are recruiting for a Controls Engineer with PLC fault‑finding experience to join a rapidly growing West Yorkshire based business.

Responsibilities

• Service control panels and automated production line equipment, mainly remote with some in‑person support for machine breakdowns
• Provide out‑of‑hours remote support – 9 days out of 28, including a 7‑day overnight on‑call rota
• Interrogate PLC code and other electrical equipment (ideal experience with Siemens PLCs); no need to program PLCs from scratch
• Attend site appointments 2–3 days per week for day trips, mainly in Yorkshire or Lancashire
• Carry out inspections, testing and reporting of electrical systems
• Respond to breakdowns on a range of sectors and equipment, from cutting‑edge to legacy

Qualifications

• HNC/D in Electronic and Electrical Engineering or related subject (ideal)
• Experience with PLC fault finding and code interrogation (preferred)
• Knowledge of the 18th Edition of relevant standards (nice to have)
• Full UK driving licence – essential
• Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship – essential
