Process Improvement Lead
Hours: 37.5 per week. Salary: £40,000 per annum (depending on experience).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead improvement projects to reduce product variability through process standardisation and procedural control.
- Provide support to manufacturing departments with implementing improved processes.
- Develop, maintain and evaluate manufacturing metrics to identify improvement areas.
- Apply process improvement principles across the business, working closely with production teams to identify, develop and implement change.
- Conduct advanced troubleshooting and train others to identify non‑compliance in systems and processes.
- Lead continuous improvement programmes to enhance quality capability and customer satisfaction.
- Manage the introduction of new products from design stage into manufacturing.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong industrial experience delivering technical solutions within a manufacturing environment.
- Practical knowledge of Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong understanding of ISO and BSI systems and processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proven ability to drive change and implement continuous improvement plans effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
Additional Skills / Development Areas
- Leadership and facilitation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and data visualisation tools for process mapping.
- Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt).
- Project Management PRINCE2 (or equivalent level).
- ILM Level 5 qualification.
