About The Role
Resonate Testing are seeking a motivated and enthusiasticTechnicianto support laboratory testing activities and day to day lab operations. This is a hands-on, practical role focused on setting up test samples, operating test equipment, and supporting engineers in delivering accurate and repeatable test programmes.
This role is well suited to someone with a strong interest in practical engineering, lab work, and equipment operation.
Responsibilities
Prepare and set up test samples, fixtures, and test rigs.
Operate laboratory test equipment under instruction.
Monitor tests and record dataaccurately.
Support engineers during test execution and troubleshooting.
Carry out basic equipment checks and routine maintenance.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised laboratory environment.
Follow test procedures, quality requirements, andhealthand safety standards.
Assistwithreceiving, handling, and storing customer samples.
Work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, and customers during test activities.
Prepare documentation, test records, and technical reports under supervision.
Support general lab tasks and workload asrequired
All relevant training will beprovided.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
A practical technical qualification or sufficient experience in a technical practical role
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Good communicationskills, both verbal and written
Ability to work as part of a team and follow technical instructions
Ability tomaintainconfidentiality relating to customers, data, and company activities
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Basic understanding of engineering principles relevant to mechanical, electrical or environmental testing
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook/Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
Familiarity with testing activities in a laboratory or technical environment
Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Previousexperience in fabrication, welding, or electrical installation
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, or test requirements
Comfortable working with tools, fixtures, and bespoke test rigs
Experience with quality system documentation (e.g.test records, procedures, work instructions)
Forklift license (or willingness to complete training training can be provided)
