Job Title: Food Technology Teacher – Secondary School (Grimsby)

Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)

GSL Education is seeking a passionate and skilled Food Technology Teacher to join secondary schools in Grimsby. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who can inspire students to develop practical cooking skills, creativity, and an understanding of nutrition and food safety.

The successful candidate will teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and practical lessons in a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons
• Teach students practical cooking skills and food preparation techniques
• Promote understanding of nutrition, hygiene, and food safety
• Assess and monitor student progress effectively
• Maintain a safe and organised classroom environment
• Encourage creativity and student participation during practical lessons

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Food Technology in UK secondary schools
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• A passion for practical learning and student development
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
