We’re looking for a highly experienced Senior Social and Environmental Business Partner to lead and shape sustainability across a major healthcare portfolio.
This is a strategic and hands-on role where you’ll act as the go-to expert for sustainability—driving both environmental impact and social value initiatives across a national network of healthcare contracts.
With the chance to influence at all levels—from frontline teams to senior leadership—you’ll play a key role in delivering meaningful, measurable change across the sector.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for sustainability across the healthcare sector
- Develop and implement social and environmental strategies aligned to business and client goals
- Ensure consistent delivery of sustainability practices across multiple contracts
- Own and manage sustainability plans, including performance tracking and reporting
- Support operational teams in achieving sustainability KPIs and contractual commitments
- Build strong relationships with clients as the lead point of contact for sustainability
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in sustainability initiatives
- Stay up to date with UK legislation, NHS targets, and market trends
- Collaborate across functions (operations, HR, procurement, etc.) to embed sustainability
About You
We’re looking for a well-rounded sustainability professional with both environmental and social value expertise.
Essential Experience & Skills:
- 7+ years’ experience in sustainability / ESG / social value roles
- Proven track record delivering environmental and social impact programmes
- Strong knowledge of sustainability frameworks and governance
- Expertise across environmental topics (carbon, energy, waste, water, biodiversity)
- Understanding of UK legislation and regulatory landscape
- Strong data analysis, reporting, and insight generation skills
- Experience managing multiple projects/programmes simultaneously
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Full UK driving licence required due to travel
Desirable:
- Experience within healthcare, NHS, or government contracts
- Background in facilities management or the built environment
