A leading organisation based in Tamworth is looking to recruit an experienced Customs Compliance Manager to oversee customs processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the wider logistics and supply chain operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customs knowledge who is looking to take ownership of compliance procedures within a growing business.
The Role
As Customs Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the business remains fully compliant with UK customs regulations and internal procedures. You will work closely with operational teams, external partners, and senior management to maintain accurate customs processes and minimise risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee customs compliance across import and export operations
- Ensure adherence to UK customs regulations, HMRC requirements, and internal policies
- Review and improve customs procedures, controls, and documentation
- Support audits, compliance checks, and internal reporting
- Provide guidance to operational teams on customs processes and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with HMRC, freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Monitor changes in customs legislation and ensure the business remains compliant
- Identify risks and implement corrective actions where required
The Candidate
- Previous experience in a Customs Compliance Manager, Customs Manager, or senior customs role
- Strong knowledge of UK import and export customs procedures
- Experience dealing with HMRC requirements and customs documentation
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to advise internal teams
- Experience within logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, manufacturing, or distribution would be beneficial

- Salary up to £55,000
