Strategic Sourcing Manager:
We are partnering with an expanding organisation within the biotech and pharmaceutical services sector to appoint an experienced Supply Chain & Strategic Sourcing Manager to support global Clinical Trial Supply operations.
This position will play a critical role in developing and managing an international supplier network, ensuring the reliable, compliant, and cost-effective sourcing of commercial drug products for clinical studies worldwide.
Please note: Candidates must have prior experience within Clinical Trial Supply.
You will be responsible for both the strategic direction and day-to-day execution of sourcing and supply chain activities across global markets, working closely with Commercial, CTS, Quality, and Operations teams.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supply Chain & Sourcing Strategy
- Developing sourcing strategies to support ongoing and future clinical trial demand
- Identifying, qualifying, and onboarding global suppliers and distributors
- Expanding product access across key international regions including the US, EU, LATAM, APAC, and MENA
- Building and maintaining strong supplier partnerships to support long-term supply continuity
Clinical Trial Supply Planning
- Partnering with CTS and Commercial teams to understand study requirements and pipeline demand
- Translating demand forecasts into sourcing and procurement plans
- Supporting supply continuity, forecasting, capacity planning, and risk mitigation activities
Supplier & Commercial Management
- Leading supplier negotiations covering pricing, commercial terms, and agreements
- Managing supplier performance through KPIs and service levels
- Driving cost efficiencies while maintaining quality and compliance standards
- Proactively resolving supply and operational issues
Supplier Compliance & Quality
- Managing supplier qualification, onboarding, and audit activities
- Ensuring suppliers operate in line with GMP and regulatory requirements
- Working closely with Quality and Operations teams to address compliance matters and audit findings
Market & Industry Engagement
- Monitoring market availability, sourcing trends, and supply risks
- Developing relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and industry partners
- Representing the business at supplier meetings and industry events where required
