ICU Clinical Pharmacist
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated ICU Pharmacist to join a busy hospital team. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinically focused pharmacist with critical care experience to play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care within a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist clinical pharmacy support to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Review and optimise medication therapy for critically ill patients
- Work closely with consultants, nursing staff, and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Support safe and effective prescribing practices
- Participate in ward rounds and clinical decision-making
- Ensure compliance with medicines management policies and procedures
- Provide advice on antimicrobial stewardship, nutrition support, and high-risk medicines
Requirements
- GPhC registered Pharmacist
- Previous NHS hospital pharmacy experience essential
- Prior ICU/Critical Care experience highly desirable
- Strong clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
