We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Miller Programmer to join our precision engineering team in Atherstone. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with milling machines and a strong background in programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision parts.

The role

As a Miller Setter Programmer, you will be responsible for the entire machining process from start to finish. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Programming, setting, and operating our milling machine to manufacture high-quality, precision components.
  • Reading and interpreting complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
  • Selecting appropriate tooling, setting up fixtures, and verifying machine settings.
  • Carrying out your own quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the production process.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller Programmer.
  • The ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and understand geometric tolerances.
  • Experience with programming CNC machines using relevant software (e.g., CAD/CAM software) and G-code.
  • Experience working on a variety of materials including Stainless Steel and Aluminium.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
