Plant Maintenance Engineer – Temp to Perm

My client is a food waste processing company based in Rushden, and they require a Plant Maintenance Engineer (Electrical or mechanical) on a temp to perm basis.

The role is to maintain the plant using the most cost‑effective work methodology resulting in the highest uptime possible. It involves working within company work procedures and protocols and adapting to ever‑changing circumstances.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain plant equipment to ensure maximum uptime.
  • Adapt to changing work conditions while following procedures.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a similar environment (e.g., Water sector) with extensive pump repair and maintenance routines.
  • Industry related qualifications such as NEBOSH, confined spaces, working at heights, PLC controls.
  • Full driving licence and ideally a Telehandler licence.

Working Time

  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Start and finish times to be confirmed; may involve rotating early and late shifts or a shift pattern.

Work Environment

  • Food waste processing environment (smelly). Full PPE will be provided.
