Warren Wood Primary School is seeking to appoint an outstanding, highly skilled, motivated and inspirational teacher to join our incredibly nurturing and caring school team in the key leadership role of Deputy Headteacher. If appointed, you will work closely alongside the Headteacher, School Business Manager, SENCO and phase leaders as a senior member of the leadership team. You will assist in setting the strategic direction of continuous school improvement and lead staff in ensuring the smooth operational running of the school. There will be no class responsibility with this role, however there is an expectation that some class cover will be required.

- Have a secure understanding of attendance policies and procedures and have the ability to lead in this area
- Be familiar with the setting and implementation of school policies in line with statutory guidance
- Be compassionate, open and transparent in their approach
- Have high expectations of all pupils and staff
- Build positive relationships with the pupil, staff, parents, governing body and wider community
- Develop the staff team through collaborative and tailor‑made professional development opportunities
- Be enthusiastic, committed and empathetic as a communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
