Associate, Compliance – French Speaking – LDN
London
Third Bridge is a leading global research firm established in 2007, with a team of over 1,500 employees worldwide dedicated to fueling decisions with expert insights. We accelerate and enhance decision‑making for investors and business leaders by unearthing unique expert insights across multiple sectors, geographies, and topics.
For nearly 20 years, we’ve helped clients access knowledge on demand from experts, in‑person and through our Library covering over 65,000 companies.
Are you an analytical thinker with a sharp eye for detail and professional fluency in French? We are looking for a dedicated Compliance Associate to join our team in London. This is a critical role where you will act as the first line of defense, ensuring that our market‑leading investment research is safe, compliant, and ready for the world’s top investors.
This isn't just a reading job; it’s a deep‑dive analytical role where your judgment directly protects the integrity of our global platform.
What You’ll Do
- You will be the "first look" in our content workflow, ensuring that every transcript meets rigorous legislative and internal standards before it ever reaches a client.
- Critical Risk Analysis: Review, identify and analyze risks related to confidential information, regulatory requirements, and MNPI.
- Linguistic Translation of Risk: Conduct reviews in French, but elevate and explain the identified risks in clear, "plain English" to senior stakeholders and managers.
- Product Creation: You are the gatekeeper. You will proactively edit and "cut" non‑compliant sections of transcripts, ensuring only the highest quality, low‑risk research reaches our portal.
- Compliance Advisory: Answer day‑to‑day queries from internal business units and assist in delivering compliance training to new and existing team members, as necessary.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong, professional relationships with internal stakeholders as needed, balancing compliance requirements with the need to deliver insightful content.
What You’ll Bring
- Native or professional‑level fluency in French and English. You must be comfortable understanding "financial speak" (e.g., EBITDA, margins, M&A) in both languages.
- Professional experience, ideally in Compliance, Law, or a risk‑based role (KYC, AML, or due diligence). A law/compliance degree is a significant plus.
- Analytical grounding: comfortable with a reading‑heavy, contemplative role that requires intense concentration and a meticulous eye for detail.
- Communication skills: ability to translate complex risk assessments into concise English, ensuring that managers who don't speak your target language fully understand your reasoning.
- Reliability: a "Steady Eddie" profile—you are looking for a stable, high‑quality role where you can truly "ground in" and master your craft under expert mentorship.
How will you be rewarded?
- Competitive basic salary based on experience and an annual company bonus scheme dependent on individual and company performance.
- Vacation: 25 days (which increases to 28 days after 2 years of service) plus UK Bank Holidays.
- Learning: personal development allowance of £1,000 per year.
- Health and wellbeing: private medical insurance and healthcare cash plan, a variety of health and wellbeing events to focus on mental health, Ride to Work scheme (savings on bikes and accessories).
- Future and family: pension contributions of 4% (increases with tenure) and life insurance of 4× your base salary.
- Flexibility: work from anywhere for one month per year, 2 annual volunteer days, 2 personal days when life throws you a curveball and "Summer Fridays".
- Rewards: get points through our colleague‑to‑colleague recognition programme to spend on hotels, gift cards, donations to charity and more.
- Social: optional social gatherings, daily breakfast and snacks, social events.
- ESG: CSR, Environment and Diversity & Inclusion (including Women at Third Bridge, Pride and Blkbridge).
- Frontline Innovation: your chance to share your ideas for improvement through Hackathons and other events.
