About the PracticeThe practice is a purpose-built, standalone small animal clinic located in a busy residential area with convenient on-site parking. It benefits from excellent motorway and rail connections, providing easy access to Nottingham, Leicester, Birmingham, London, and the nearby Peak District National Park.
The clinic is well equipped with modern diagnostic and surgical facilities, enabling the team to deliver high standards of veterinary care.

Digital X-rayDigital endoscopyUltrasoundIn-house laboratory equipmentAdvanced surgical and orthopaedic equipmentThe practice sees a wide range of medical and surgical cases, including more complex procedures performed in-house, providing excellent learning opportunities for veterinary surgeons looking to expand their clinical skills.
The TeamYou will join a supportive and collaborative clinical team consisting of:
5 Veterinary Surgeons6 Registered Veterinary Nurses2 Student Veterinary Nurses1 Veterinary Care Assistant5 Client Care AdvisorsA dedicated Practice ManagerThe veterinary team includes experienced clinicians who actively mentor newer colleagues. The culture within the practice is highly supportive, with a strong emphasis on communication, daily team collaboration, and continuous professional development.
The RoleThis position offers a balanced mix of consultations and surgical procedures, allowing veterinary surgeons to develop confidence across both medical and surgical cases.
Veterinary surgeons are encouraged to expand their skill sets, explore areas of special interest, and contribute to the ongoing development of clinical standards within the practice.
Consultations are scheduled for 20 minutes as standard, allowing sufficient time to provide high-quality patient care and build strong relationships with clients.
Working PatternFull-time 4-day working week1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9:00am 12:00pm)No out-of-hours or on-call requirementsPart-time hours can be considered for the right candidateCandidate RequirementsThe ideal candidate will:
