About the Job
Reporting to the Partner, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of the companies accounts function.
- Prepare self-assessment personal and corporate tax returns for a varied client portfolio
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in line with best practice
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, with attention to detail
- Liaise with clients to gather information and respond to queries
- Support senior staff with tax planning and advisory work
- Assist with HMRC correspondence and enquiries
- Prepare and assist with VAT and Making Tax Digital (MTD) returns
Skills and Experience
ATT or IATI qualified, or currently working towards qualification
Minimum of 2 years experience in a tax or accounting technician role
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Experience with accounting and tax software such as CCH, Sage, or Xero is desirable
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Confident communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to present clear and accurate information
Able to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
Team player with a proactive approach and willingness to take on new responsibilities
