P4B Law is a well-established boutique law firm based in South Wales and is seeking an Employment Law Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join its highly regarded and well-established team. Working primarily from home with occasional on-site client attendance you will strengthen our current team of employment lawyers.
nnThis is an excellent opportunity to work closely with experienced lawyers on a broad mix of employment matters within a firm known for its high-quality client base and friendly, collaborative culture. We are an ‘employer only’ practice, limiting our advice to businesses.
nnYou will assist in delivering clear, practical advice across the full range of employment issues, manage matters with appropriate supervision, drafting documents and supporting senior colleagues on complex cases and advisory work.
nnYou will support in advising on day-to-day and strategic matters, including disciplinary and grievance issues, dismissals, redundancy and reorganisation, performance and capability, discrimination and whistleblowing, restrictive covenants, settlement negotiations and agreements, ACAS conciliation, Employment Tribunal claims, drafting HR letters and drafting/reviewing workplace contracts and policies.
nnThe role will suit an individual with strong technical foundations, excellent communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.

nYou will support our legal team whilst also taking ownership of key aspects of files.

The role will include:

- Supporting lawyers on contentious and non-contentious employment matters nt
- Providing legal advice to clients with the appropriate level of supervision nt
- Advising clients on HR issues nt
- Drafting legal documents including contracts, policies and settlement agreements nt
- Assisting with Employment Tribunal matters and case preparation nt
- Conducting legal research nt
- Liaising with clients, counsel and third parties n
The firm is seeking an experienced and proactive individual with a background in employment law and/or HR who is confident working within a fast-paced environment.

nYou will have:
- nt
- A minimum of 2 years' experience within employment law nt
- Strong understanding of employment law nt
- Confidence drafting employment documentation and correspondence nt
- Ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively nt
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail nt
- Excellent communication and client facing skills nt
- Located in South Wales or the South West of England would be desirable but not essential.nt
