My client is a mission‑led technology company that delivers critical systems for end‑users operating in high‑stakes environments. They are looking for a Senior RF Hardware Engineer to join the engineering team in Bristol. This is a key role where you will take technical leadership in the design, development, and integration of cutting‑edge RF hardware.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Design & Development: Leading the architectural design and detailed development of RF circuits, modules, and systems.
  • Technical Leadership: Providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and acting as a subject matter expert for RF hardware within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Managing the transition from concept to prototype, including hands‑on bench testing, validation, and debugging of complex RF assemblies.
  • System Integration: Ensuring RF hardware integrates seamlessly with digital systems, software, and mechanical enclosures.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Hardware Design: Extensive experience in PCB design for RF applications, including power amplifiers, filters, frequency converters, and synthesizers.
  • RF Analysis: Mastery of RF simulation tools (e.g., ADS, CST, or HFSS) and laboratory equipment (VNAs, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes).
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead technical projects and influence design decisions across a team.
  • Problem Solving: A pragmatic approach to engineering, with the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware issues under tight deadlines.
