Territory Business Manager – Advanced Wound Care (AWC)

Field‑based role covering Greater Manchester: Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Heywood, Middleton, Rochdale, Oldham, Thameside, Stockport, Manchester, Trafford, Salford.

Field work 90% customer facing, 5 days per week with overnight requirements for local and national events. Company car provided.

Core Responsibilities

  • Drive overachievement of sales targets across the territory.
  • Engage key clinical product prescribing stakeholders (TVNs, podiatrists, DNs, specialist nurses, ANPs).
  • Initiate and drive product evaluations in hospitals and communities.
  • Secure product awards following ICB and Provider formulary inclusion.
  • Increase clinical access to key brands through formulary inclusions or clinical guidelines.
  • Drive pull‑through of business following formulary inclusion.
  • Demonstrate in‑depth clinical and product knowledge within key indication areas.
  • Develop robust and strategic account plans to maximise opportunity pipeline.
  • Protect existing business through collaborative stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure correct and competent use of Convatec brands through regular training of HCPs.
  • Facilitate audits to gather prevalence data.
  • Plan and implement local studies and educational activities.
  • Meet agreed metrics & SFE standards and comply with company policy.
  • Utilise the CRM system effectively, recording calls daily.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Sales experience in medical/pharma, primary and/or secondary care.
  • Collaborative approach with all functions of Convatec UKI AWC team.
  • Degree level education, ideally biomedical sciences or nursing.
  • Strong motivation, goal‑oriented and tenacity.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to build relationships and influence decision‑makers.
  • Good understanding of NHS structure and terminology.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Strong presentation and IT skills.
  • Commercial acumen and financial accountability.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM.
  • English language (native or high proficiency).
  • Full driver’s licence and ability to work in the UKI.
