We’re looking for a commercially-minded finance talent to join INKEY and play a key role in driving performance across the business.

This is a unique opportunity to sit at the heart of our Commercial Finance team, partnering across Marketing, Product and Operations to turn data into insight—and insight into action. From shaping pricing and promotions to influencing new product launches, this role is all about impact.

Location: London (primary office) / Nottingham (occasional travel)

Reporting to: Head of Commercial Finance

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Role overview

A full-time role for an emerging talent to support the business in understanding and interpreting data and performance, delivering clearer insights and driving commercial impact. The ideal candidate will bring early experience in consumer goods, paired with strong communication skills and a proactive, commercially minded approach.

The role reports into the Head of Commercial Finance, completing a team of three. No two days are ever the same within this role, so the candidate must be flexible enough to accommodate varying tasks of both a routine and ad hoc nature.

Key responsibilities

Act as an indispensable business partner to Commercial, Marketing and Operational functions, including responsibilities such as:

Commercial teams

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to co-pilot the planning cycle; providing rigorous appraisal of future events and ensuring past learnings are integrated into future strategies
  • Support all customer P&L builds month to month and subsequent analysis
  • Conduct all ROI analysis of promotions (pre and post evaluations); Trade spend tracking (retailer funding, markdowns and rebates)
  • Support current retailer trade negotiations and new market / channel entry analyses and recommendations
  • Own all pricing and price updates

Marketing and Brand

  • Portfolio and SKU profitability analyses
  • New product launches – from scoping to post launch analysis
  • Campaign performance analysis
  • Brand KPI reviews and CPMs
  • Assist with market & consumer data analysis

Operations & HR

  • Support Supply & Operations team through product costs and cost‑saving initiatives, both actual and forecast.

Financial planning and analysis duties

  • Support the budget and quarterly forecast processes as directed.
  • Input into monthly management reporting packs as required.
  • Own complex gross margin and unit economic calculations to identify improvements to gross margin and cost‑to‑serve models and economics.
  • Contribute to annual strategic planning tasks, helping to shape brand, portfolio, and commercial priorities in the years to come.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Qualified or near-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of c.3 years of experience in commercial finance roles, preferably in FMCG / consumer goods, and naturally hands‑on and proactive.
  • Demonstrable experience partnering with commercial teams to drive profitable growth, with strong communication skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and modelling skills; experienced with financial planning systems (e.g. Power BI), whilst demonstratable affinity with emerging AI tools / automation is a big plus.
  • Organised and a self‑starter by nature, given no two days will be the same. A fast worker, but equally capable of prioritising tasks.
