As a result of our expansion plans and our continued ongoing success, we are seeking a dynamic Senior Finance Business Partner to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.

About the Role

The Supply Chain Finance Business Partner acts as a strategic liaison between Finance and operational teams across logistics and supply chain. The role translates financial data into actionable insights, supports senior decision‑making, owns Supply Chain P&L performance, and drives cost efficiency and value creation across complex, fast‑paced operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Supply Chain P&L, delivering weekly flash reports, monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and inventory reporting.
  • Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including financial reviews with third‑party logistics partners.
  • Partner with senior operational leaders to evaluate investment proposals, productivity initiatives, and capital expenditure, tracking ROI and savings delivery.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on key cost and performance KPIs such as cost per unit, warehousing efficiency, transport efficiency, and stock write‑offs.
  • Provide clear commercial insight by interpreting complex operational and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Ensure strong financial governance, control, and adherence to Group financial policies.
  • Support robust business case development through detailed data analysis and complex ROI modelling.

Person Specification

  • Qualified accountant (or equivalent experience) with strong commercial finance capability.
  • Demonstrable experience operating in a fast‑paced logistics, supply chain, or FMCG environment.
  • Proven experience managing large‑scale budgets (in excess of £100m per annum), including both in‑house and third‑party service models.
  • Comfortable operating within a non‑hierarchical business, with the credibility to influence and challenge at all levels.
  • Highly collaborative, innovative, and commercially minded, with strong business acumen.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills; experience with ERP or WMS systems (e.g., Blue Yonder) is desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate financial concepts for non‑finance audiences.
