Job Description:

It is an exciting time to join Honeycomb Group as we continue to grow, evolve and build on the strength of our services. With clear ambition for the future, we are investing in the people, capacity and expertise needed to support the next stage of our development. This role reflects that momentum by offering the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution at a time when strong financial leadership, insight and partnership will help shape our future direction and ensure we continue delivering value for our customers, colleagues and communities.

This person will support the Head of Finance to deliver outstanding finance services to internal and external stakeholders. As Finance Business Partner, you’ll sit at the heart of the organisation, working alongside senior leaders and operational teams to deliver value for money and robust budget setting. This is not just a traditional reporting role. You’ll be a trusted advisor, helping managers understand the “why” behind the numbers, supporting them to plan ahead, manage risk, and get the best outcomes from every pound spent. You will help embed a one‑team, one‑business culture where finance adds value, not barriers.

What you’ll do:

  • Align financial plans and priorities with the Group’s strategic objectives.
  • Partner with senior managers to support budget setting, forecasting and financial planning.
  • Maintain strong financial control, accurate reporting and compliance with tax, accounting and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide data‑led insight, monthly management accounts and analysis to support decision‑making and improve performance.
  • Oversee statutory accounts, external audit and internal audit actions, while leading and developing a high‑performing finance team.

Who you are:

  • CCAB/CIMA qualified with strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102), Housing SORP and Charity SORP, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial accounting, management accounting and working within the social housing or charity sector.
  • Proven finance business partnering skills with multi‑disciplinary teams, using financial insight to drive value for money, efficiencies and informed decision‑making.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non‑finance audiences.
  • Highly organised, adaptable and resilient, with strong IT capability, a customer‑focused approach and a commitment to delivering results.
