Strategic Finance Business Partner

Overview

We are looking for an experienced finance professional to join the team as a Strategic Finance Business Partner reporting to the Strategic Director of Finance Strategy.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with service managers to ensure best practice in financial planning, monitoring and risk mitigation.
• Provide leadership and assurance around complex capital programmes.
• Advisory role to Directors and Members on high‑value, high‑risk decisions.
• Drive teams toward excellence through strong communication and leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong strategic finance leadership experience within a place‑based portfolio.
• Track record in financial governance, risk management and value for money in a public sector context.
• Ability to influence at senior level and partner with senior business stakeholders.
