Job Overview

Position: Security Installation EngineerJob ID: 3612/1Location: Bedfordshire (covering Bedford, Herefordshire & Cambridge)Rate/Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 depending on experience + Overtime + Call OutBenefits: Overtime paid, call out rota, travel time paid after first hour each way, 20-25 days holiday (based on service)Type: Permanent / Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities

• Installation of intruder alarms, CCTV systems and gate automation
• Carrying out preventative maintenance and servicing of security systems
• Attending breakdowns and call‑outs as part of a rota
• Diagnosing and resolving faults across electronic security systems
• Completing small associated electrical remedial works where required

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proven experience installing and maintaining electronic security systems
• Experience with intruder alarms, CCTV and/or gate automation
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Good communication skills when dealing with clients on site
