Salary: £32,916 – £45,352 (M1-UPS3) + £5,873 TLR 2B

Monarch Education is proud to be working in partnership with a thriving secondary school in the BS16 area to recruit an inspiring Programme Leader of Religious Studies. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and passionate educator to lead a successful department within a supportive Multi‑Academy Trust.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Religious Studies curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Inspire and motivate students to engage deeply with philosophical, ethical, and cultural topics
  • Drive high standards of teaching and learning within the department
  • Support and develop colleagues through effective leadership and coaching
  • Contribute to whole‑school initiatives and the wider life of the school

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Religious Studies
  • Proven ability to teach across secondary age ranges
  • Experience in curriculum leadership or readiness to step into a leadership role
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student achievement
