Role Details
- Position: Head of Maths

- Setting: SEN All-Through School specialising in Autism
- Key Stages: KS3 – KS4
- Start Date: September
- Salary: £48,000 – £53,000 (dependent on experience)
The Role
- Lead the Maths department across KS3 and KS4
- Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Support pupils with Autism and additional learning needs
- Develop and adapt the Maths curriculum to ensure accessibility and engagement
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and senior leaders
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A passion for supporting children with additional needs
- The motivation to develop within a leadership role
Must Have
- Ability to work well independently and as a team
- Passion to support and empower children and young people
- DBS on the Updates Service
- Commitment to safeguarding students and young people
