About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists in the Council’s Environmental Services for a Team Leader LGV Driver working from our Depot at Castleford.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive various LGV / Non LGV Vehicles.
- Lead a small operational team.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and FTA vehicle compliance.
- Collect waste and recyclable materials from across the district.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Be an ambassador for the Council when dealing with all stakeholders, customers and have excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
- Deal with conflict situations.
- Be self-motivated and can motivate others.
- Have a good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
- Ability to assess problems and provide practical solutions.
- Ability to prioritise conflicting demands.
- Display good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Be able to multi-task and display a flexible working approach.
Essential Requirements:
- Current clean LGV Driving Licence (category C) with no more than 6 penalty points as per the current national driving penalties system.
- Driver Certificate of Professional Competence qualification (DCPC).
