Procurement Manager
Project: Slough Sewage Treatment Works (STW) – Extension of an operational sewage treatment plant
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively and liaise with the Design and Construction teams.
- Liaise with Thames Commercial representatives to discuss SAF 1 and 2 objective and requirements.
- Correspond and liaise with selected Supply Chain bidders to correctly administer the prequalification and tender processes.
- Arrange for appropriate tender meetings with the supply chain for each package.
- Draft suitable subcontract condition amendments and Data Part One and Two documents.
- Draft, compile, and amend Works Information documents for potential subcontract packages.
- Draft and amend standard ITT documents to issue to each supply chain.
- Manage on a day to day basis of tender queries for the tenderers.
- Arrange mid‑term and final tender meetings.
- Prepare bid analysis documents for review where appropriate.
- Prepare recommendations to Ferrovial Cadagua JV and to Thames on each package.
- Attend meetings within FC JV to discuss procurement strategy and with Thames and supply chain to review bid compliance and discuss and agree any proposed changes in terms and conditions.
- Liaise with the M&E team to achieve where possible consistency of approach.
- Liaise with FC JV planners with respect to programming and time documentation.
- Provide specialist item procurement contractual advice.
Key Skills And Experience
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar.
- Good knowledge of NEC contracts.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at a variety of levels throughout the Company as well as partners, suppliers and customers.
- Good influencing and persuasive skills and ability to build effective working relationships with people at many levels.
- Methodical in approach.
Desirable Skills
- Water treatment experience.
- Experience of working in an international organization.
