The company supplies major global retailers and manages a portfolio of recognised apparel and consumer brands.

As part of its continued growth, the business is investing heavily in Power BI, data modelling, reporting, and commercial analytics to improve visibility across sales, inventory, operations, and finance.

The Role

This is a hands‑on Senior Strategy Analyst – Business Intelligence role with full ownership of the Power BI environment and reporting ecosystem.

You will be responsible for:

  • Building and managing Power BI dashboards and data models
  • Integrating data from ERP, finance (e.g. Sage), and operational systems
  • Delivering insights across inventory, sales, margin, and operations

This is not just a reporting role — it requires strong capability across:

  • SQL and data transformation

Key Responsibilities

Power BI & Data Ownership

  • Own the end‑to‑end Power BI environment
  • Build and maintain semantic models and datasets
  • Write and optimise DAX measures and calculations
  • Manage ETL processes and data transformations

Data Integration (ERP / Finance / Operations)

  • Integrate data from:
  • ERP systems
  • Finance systems (e.g. Sage)
  • Operational data sources
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance

Commercial & Operational Reporting

  • Product and territory performance
  • Margin analysis and pricing insights
  • Channel performance (wholesale, retail, ecommerce)

Inventory & Stock Analysis

  • Inventory levels and stock movements
  • Sell‑through and stock coverage
  • Inventory valuation and ageing
  • Clearance and markdown analysis

Operations & Warehouse

  • Order book visibility
  • OTIF performance
  • Warehouse efficiency and turnaround time

Finance Reporting

  • Revenue and margin tracking
  • Forecasting and performance analysis
  • Customer and supplier insights

Inventory & Order Book Management

  • Maintain and monitor order book data
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory data in ERP systems
  • Identify and resolve data and reporting issues

Insights & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Deliver management and executive‑level reporting
  • Work cross‑functionally with: Sales, Finance and Operations teams

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

  • Strong SQL and understanding of data structures
  • Experience with ETL processes and large datasets
  • Experience working with ERP systems
  • Advanced Excel skills

Commercial & Analytical Skills

  • Strong understanding of:
  • Margin and pricing
  • Inventory and stock flow
  • Ability to translate data into commercial insights
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

Experience

  • 3+ years in:
  • Commercial Analytics
  • FP&A
  • Retail / business analytics

Experience in the following is highly desirable:

  • Wholesale / retail / ecommerce
  • Apparel, fashion, or consumer goods
