Title: Site Services Engineer (Energy & Utilities Projects)
Salary: £50,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
12-Month Fixed Term Contract (with potential to extend)
Location: Huntingdon
This is not a desk-based energy role.
We're recruiting a Site Services Engineer to support a major energy and utilities improvement programme within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Role – Site Services Engineer
- Support energy and utilities improvement projects across the site
- Work hands-on with systems including:
- Refrigeration
- Compressed air
- Vacuum systems
- Processing equipment
- Identify inefficiencies and implement practical improvements
- Review plant performance, set points, and operating parameters
- Work closely with maintenance engineers, facilities teams, and contractors
- Support installation, optimisation, and validation of improvements
- Spend time both on the shop floor and in the office (approx. 50/50 split)
About You
- Background as a Site Services Engineer, Utilities Engineer, or Maintenance Engineer
- Experience working with plant and utilities systems (compressors, HVAC, refrigeration, etc.)
- Comfortable working hands‑on in a manufacturing environment
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Practical mindset with a focus on improving performance and efficiency
- Interested in energy, utilities, or continuous improvement projects
