Our client is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer to join a well‑established precision engineering team. This is a hands‑on role for someone who can program, set and operate with confidence — producing high‑quality components to exacting standards.

What you’ll be doing

• Programming CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls
• Setting and operating machinery to manufacture precision components
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Selecting the right tooling and machining methods for each job
• Carrying out first‑off inspections and in‑process quality checks
• Adjusting offsets and programmes to maintain tight tolerances
• Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient working environment

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience programming CNC machines using Heidenhain controls
• Ability to set and operate CNC milling machinery independently
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and precision work
• Experience working on small batch and high‑accuracy components
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
