Product Analyst
The closing date is 18 May 2026.
The EPR Product Analyst will report into the EPR Product Specialist to support the design, configuration, and optimisation of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system by gathering requirements, analysing workflows, and ensuring accurate documentation.
The role will be primarily onsite with travel required across the three SFH Trust sites. Successful candidates will be required to work unsociable hours to provide go‑live support.
Interviews will be held at Kings Mill Hospital on 01 June and 02 June.
Main duties of the job
- Manage a team to deliver a discrete configuration package.
- Act as a bridge between clinical teams, technical specialists and suppliers, providing detailed analysis to inform product decisions and configuration standards.
- Gather requirements, analyse workflows and ensure accurate documentation.
- Contribute to testing, data validation and adoption activities, ensuring the EPR solution meets user needs and complies with safety and governance requirements.
- Demonstrate the product to a range of stakeholders and individuals.
- Support configuration standards and application testing, including automated testing systems.

Qualifications and Training
- Degree‑level education or equivalent experience in health informatics, IT or a related discipline.
- Formal qualification in business analysis or project support (e.g., BCS BA, PRINCE2 Foundation).
- Training in process mapping or configuration tools.
- JavaScript training equivalent to level 2 or significant experience in using JavaScript within an EPR system.
Experience
- Experience in business analysis or system configuration within a healthcare or IT environment.
- Proven involvement in requirements gathering and workflow documentation.
- Experience supporting testing phases (SIT/UAT) and defect resolution.
- Familiarity with specialist features (PAS, ePrescribing, theatres, ED, clinical documentation, investigation, etc.).
- Experience providing product demonstrations to a wide range of stakeholders and groups.
- Experience with EPR systems or healthcare digital programmes.
- Familiarity with clinical coding standards (SNOMED CT, dm+d).
- Exposure to benefits realisation and optimisation activities.
- Experience managing teams to deliver a work package.
Knowledge and Skills
- Understanding of clinical workflows and operational processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Ability to interpret supplier release notes and manage upgrades.
- Knowledge of interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR).
- Understanding of data migration principles and integration architecture.
- Familiarity with clinical safety standards (DCB0129/DCB0160) and IG compliance.
- Proficiency in documentation and process mapping tools.
