At Goldman Sachs, Global Investment Research (GIR) produces analytically ambitious research with out-of-consensus conclusions in a fast-paced environment where time to market is of the essence. Our analyst teams cover 3,000 securities and 50+ global economies to deliver client-focused research in the equity, fixed income, currency and commodities markets.

Role & Responsibilities

  • In partnership with analyst teams, Research Management, Legal & Compliance and other stakeholders, the Supervisory Analyst (SA) helps manage the reputational risk of investment research by ensuring that it is accurate, compliant and commercial.
  • Working as part of our Content Management Group (CMG) within the Research Publishing team, the SA will:
    • Oversee the end-to-end review and production lifecycle of investment research, from submission through to global distribution, while contributing to strategic initiatives such as systems development and guideline enhancement.
    • Partner with analysts to ensure research meets commercial, regulatory, and firm standards, providing expert guidance on policies and publication requirements.
    • Drive operational excellence by adopting new digital and AI-enabled tools to streamline workflows and enhance research delivery.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Education, Certification & Editing Expertise:
    • A Bachelor’s degree is required, along with a willingness to obtain all required qualifications, including FINRA Series 16.
    • Prior Supervisory Analyst experience is not required, but candidates must demonstrate strong editing skills, including refining content authored by non-native English speakers, and a sound understanding of standard accounting concepts.
    • Prior research experience would be desirable but not essential.
  • Market Knowledge & Analytical Mindset:
    • A genuine interest in financial markets and investment research, combined with strong attention to detail and the ability to balance precision with commercial judgement.
  • Technical Proficiency & Digital Agility:
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and comfort adopting new digital and AI-enabled tools to enhance productivity.
  • Collaboration & Professional Drive:
    • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines while working effectively with global stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, and Research Management.
