Financial Controller

We are partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed real estate business to appoint a Financial Controller. This newly created role offers excellent exposure to senior leadership and investors, alongside the opportunity to help shape financial reporting, controls, and processes within a scaling organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Ownership of statutory accounts preparation and reporting
• Leading quarterly consolidations and intercompany reconciliations
• Preparing technical accounting papers across areas including leases, revenue recognition, and impairments
• Managing relationships with external auditors and advisors
• Strengthening internal controls, audit readiness, and reporting processes
• Driving automation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Supporting treasury, cash flow, and funding activities
• Assisting with management accounting and financial management responsibilities

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 5+ years’ PQE
• Strong IFRS and UK GAAP knowledge
• Experience within multi-entity and consolidation environments
• Background in audit and/or industry financial reporting roles preferred
• Demonstrable management accounting or financial management experience
• FCA regulatory reporting experience advantageous
• Knowledge of Hyperion Consolidation System and Microsoft D365 preferred
• Advanced Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills
