Salary:
The starting salary is £48,995, which includes allowances totalling £3,009. The salary is broken down as £45,986 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £54,863. Plus, a location allowance of £2,009 and a non‑pensionable allowance of £1,000.
As Accreditation Regulator and Trainer, you’ll play a key role in improving capability across the Counter Terrorism Policing financial investigation network. Working as part of the NTFIU Training, Engagement and Innovation unit, you’ll help ensure national standards are understood and applied consistently across the CTP FIU network. It’s a role where your expertise will support operational confidence, strengthen professional practice and contribute to the continued effectiveness of counter terrorism financial investigation.
Key Tasks
- Training – Plan and deliver a range of accreditation courses (e.g. CTFIO/CTFI).
- Development of training and engagement products.
- Completion of CTFI/CTFIO regulatory assessments nationwide (in person) and complete required administration.
- Engagement outreach to public and private partners / organisations.
- Identify training, engagement and innovation opportunities/needs across the CTP network and assist with solution development addressing the needs.
- Support and input to project activities that enhance and support the capabilities of the CTP FIU network (e.g. legislation change, technology changes).
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver accreditation training for CT Financial Intelligence Officers and CT Financial Investigators.
- Develop training, engagement and outreach materials that support capability across the network.
- Carry out CTFI and CTFIO regulatory assessments in person across the UK, completing all related administration accurately and on time.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with public and private sector partners and organisations.
- Identify training, engagement and innovation needs across the CTP network, supporting the development of practical solutions.
- Contribute to projects that strengthen the capability of the CTP FIU network, including changes linked to legislation, technology or operational practice.
- Deliver training and outreach activities both in the UK and overseas, meeting the travel requirements of the role.
