Accounting Technician (AAT Level 3 Apprentice)

We have an exciting opportunity to join our finance team at East Staffordshire Borough Council as an Accounting Technician (AAT Level 3 Apprentice) to support the day-to-day delivery of financial support to the Council.

Key Qualities

  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other IT applications
  • Experience of being part of a team
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Meets the entry requirements for the apprenticeship:
    • Assistant Accountant Level 3 – Achieved GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 or higher and a level 2 Accounting Technician or equivalent (such as relevant A-Levels e.g. Business or Maths)

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside experienced staff
  • Gain job-specific skills
  • Earn a wage and get holiday pay
  • Receive funded study towards an AAT qualification
