Senior Accountant (Financial Systems), Waverley Court
Salary: £56,392 – £67,457
Hours: 36 per week
The City of Edinburgh Council is looking for a Senior Accountant to work on the management, development and maintenance of the Council’s core financial management systems, Oracle eBusiness Suite.
Postholder will work within the Council’s Financial Systems team, managing and maintaining the Purchasing Systems including the Systems Administration of these areas.
We aim for excellent client services, staff development, and continuous service improvement and require a professional with experience in development of Financial Systems, including the ongoing annual upgrades of the Oracle eBusiness Suite.
Responsibilities
- Manage, develop, and maintain the Council’s core financial management systems, Oracle eBusiness Suite.
- Maintain the Purchasing Systems and administer systems administration responsibilities.
- Contribute professional expertise to ongoing Oracle eBusiness Suite upgrades.
- Build effective relationships and work collaboratively with the team, service managers, and partners to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Provide expert financial advice to senior managers and external agencies ensuring high standards of client service, professional practice, and financial governance.
