Overview

An advanced practitioner in ultrasound is needed to join the South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust Ultrasound team. The role will cover multiple sites across Warwickshire, including a main hospital in Warwick and community hospitals in Stratford upon Avon and Leamington Spa.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and independently report on ultrasound examinations across modalities including MSK, Gynae, general medical, vascular and paediatric scans.
  • Collaborate with sonographers rotating through all clinical areas and sites across the trust, providing support for extended day and weekend sessions to meet service needs and improve patient flow.
  • Teach and provide practical clinical training to student sonographers.

Qualifications

  • Post Graduate Certificate or Diploma in Medical Ultrasound from a CASE accredited institution.
  • Registered or on the voluntary register with HCPC/NMC or Register of Clinical Technologists.
  • Recognition of ultrasound modalities by a postgraduate qualification from an accredited university.
  • Experience in MSK, Gynae, general medical, vascular or paediatric ultrasound is advantageous; training will be provided.
