EPUT is looking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic Specialty Doctor who will work closely with Specialist Mental Health in Southend‑on‑Sea, Essex.
Main Duties
- Provide independent clinical leadership to the team with full‑time consultant support.
- Deliver clinical care for CMHT patients, collaborating with consultant, GPs and primary care practitioners.
- Accept and manage referrals from primary care mental health nurses, inpatients, CMHT and patients with severe mental illness under West Central PCN.
- Participate in multi‑professional working supported by PCN consultants.
Qualifications
- Full registration with the GMC at time of appointment.
- Section 12 (2) approval under the Mental Health Act 1983.
- Evidence of ST1/CT1 competence in psychiatry at application.
- Likelihood of achieving CT2 competence in psychiatry by start of post.
