Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) – Emergency Duty Team
Trafford Council is seeking an experienced, dual-qualified AMHP for the Emergency Duty Team in the Safeguarding Hub at Trafford Town Hall. The role operates out of hours to support vulnerable individuals and families across adult and children social care, and within the Mental Health Act.
Responsibilities
- Deliver immediate social work assistance to vulnerable individuals, including children at risk and adults requiring care support.
- Provide AMHP intervention under the Mental Health Act during acute crises.
- Ensure statutory duties are met under Adult Social Care legislation, Children's Social Care legislation, and the Mental Health Act.
Qualifications
- Dual-qualified AMHP for Adult and Children Social Care.
- Warranted and experienced.
- Required to undertake Enhanced Disclosure via the DBS.
